Smash Mouth’s All-stars became popular after the countless appearances of the track in films, most notably the ‘’Mystery Men’’ and Dreamworks’ ‘’Shrek’’. Smash Mouth’s song ranked as one of the best songs in its year of production, in 1999.
However, its popularity has been renewed in recent times due to its use as an internet meme in 2010 and its continuous streaming from 2017 to 2020 in the United States. The recorder is a musical instrument that has been around for centuries. The main types of recorder include the sopranino, the soprano, the tenor, the alto, and the bass. The soprano and tenor recorder use fingerings similar to the flute, the sopranino, alto, and bass recorders use almost similar fingerings with the modern clarinet. Its sheet music also follow the major scale.
Some recorders come in a piece while some are made up of three parts, the head joint, the body, and the foot. In case you want to conjoin these three pieces together, the hole in the head joint should be lined straight with the holes in the body. The holes in the foot should however remain slightly out of the line to allow the little finger to cover it comfortably.
Make a C-shape with both hands when holding the recorder. The left hand should certainly be placed above the right hand with the fingers wrapped, covering the holes and the thumb at the back hole. Only a good music reader can play the recorder, so to play the recorder, you must be able to read music on sheet music. All notes are either one of the letters of the musical alphabet, the A B C D E F or G, as it can be seen above in the sheet music of Smash Mouth’s all-star notes.
The first sound on the recorder is mostly produced easily, but is it the right sound? You can start by using your lips to form a seal around the mouthpiece, keep an open throat and blow the air (but not too hard) into the recorder which will give a loud squeal. Practice for consistency, learn the sheet music, and begin your tonguing.

Do this carefully to the whole song and add the chorus together with it. It takes lots of practice to get there as all of these can not just be learned at once.
